The author points out the issue of abuse—violence against seniors related to the changes in post-modern society which creates place for this negative phenomenon to spread, by the atmosphere of fear, indifference or not adopting the principles of ethics and social policy. Despite the fact that in the second decade of the 21st century we have expected behavior based on morality and respect for the dignity of each individual, we see the opposite. Senior abuse could be defined as a systemic phenomenon of many dimensions, which belong in area of public and civic policies. This negative phenomenon is often associated with issues of dependency of seniors on help from their surrounding or dependency on social service. In this context we solve an issue of abuse in residential facilities.
