Approaches of Russian Families to Children’s Home Preparation for School in the Czech School Context
The article focuses on issues of education of foreigners, which are currently very topical. The text describes Russian families, which are undergoing a process of acculturation in the Czech school environment. The article analyses two important factors, which influence the education of Russian children at the Czech schools. 1) Parents' attitudes towards their children's study at Czech schools, 2) Russian parents' approach to home preparation of their children. This text describes how these two factors are connected with acculturation strategies, which have been chosen by Russian families.
